A shared songbook for your band: setlists, lyrics, each member's own tabs and structure notes, Guitar Pro files, gigs and rehearsals.

== Description ==

BandBook gives every band member their own screen on any phone or tablet at yoursite.com/band/.

* Setlists with lyrics and chords that follow the band leader's "live" song.
* Each member's own tab, song-structure notes, YouTube backing track and Guitar Pro file per song.
* Guitar Pro 3–8 files (.gp, .gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx) shown as notation and tab with playback.
* Tap-to-build song structures ("Verse 8 bars", "Chorus 8 bars"), or fill them from the Guitar Pro file's section markers.
* Rehearsal and gig dates with price, deposit and confirmed status; each member's unavailable dates; future tracks; a live chat for the band.
* Band leaders manage everything at yoursite.com/band/admin.

Everyone logs in with a normal WordPress account. BandBook adds two roles: Band member (edits only their own parts) and Band leader (edits everything). Leaders can never change or remove the site admin.

== Installation ==

1. Plugins › Add New › Upload Plugin, choose bandbook.zip, then Activate.
2. Open yoursite.com/band/admin while logged in as an administrator.
3. On the Members page, add the band and create a login for each member.

To update, upload the newer zip the same way and choose "Replace current with uploaded". Band data is kept.

== Frequently Asked Questions ==

= What happens to the band's data if I delete the plugin? =

It is kept, unless the site admin ticks "Delete all band data" in BandBook › Settings first.

= Where are Guitar Pro files stored? =

In wp-content/uploads/bandbook/ under random file names. Files up to 10 MB are accepted.

== Third-party code ==

BandBook bundles alphaTab 1.8.4 (https://alphatab.net, MPL-2.0) to display and play Guitar Pro files, with the Bravura music font (SIL OFL 1.1) and the Sonivox sound font. Their licences are in vendor/alphatab/. Nothing is loaded from external servers.
